Hi! I’m Skyla. I began making jewellery in 2021 at the age of 15, in my school D&T rooms. I wanted some new, fun pieces to wear, but didn’t have the money to buy anything that I liked, and that is where By Hammered was born.

Today, I am studying Business and Digital Marketing at Falmouth University in Cornwall. Living by the sea has completely reshaped my lifestyle. Between ocean swims, surfing, coastal runs, and getting caught in sudden Cornish downpours, I noticed a shared attitude among the people around me. In a world where everything is available, we crave things that are truly meant to be lived in, and worn over and over again.

That realization became the foundation of why I design and make the pieces that I do. I make durable, effortless jewellery that you never have to take off or worry about, no matter the conditions. I believe the best things in life are the ones you reach for instinctively, time and time again.

I use aluminium and stainless steel, which are both unreactive, un-corrosive metals, and will not tarnish, wear away or turn your skin green!

My designs are simple yet bold, and I believe they effortlessly elevate any look. The signature hammered finish creates a ripple-like texture that reflects the movement of the sea, which always reminds me of the cornish ocean I have grown to love.
